It is getting colder here in Taipei. Tonight the temperature reaches 12 degrees. Brrrr.. I heard it is worse in Maine and just as hot as always in Surabaya. I miss both of my hometowns and shrunk in gratitude of this amazing Taipei where i live now.

Today i will speak about my favorite Revlon balm. I have got four of them before and i could not stop my hand to reach few more. Before i went to Taiwan, i bought this Revlon lacquer balm in Vivacious and Revlon Matte balm in Showy.

I could not stop raving about the packaging. I love this kind of crayon type of lipstick because they are just super cute and convenient.

Both colors are more on BOLD side. like.. very very BOLD. I wore showy on my whole lips last week. My colleague, Angela told me that it is just so BOLD. I still like them anyway. They are not drying my lips and has great lasting power. But because i look so ridiculous and clownish wearing them, i always use them as a color point. I dab them on the inside of my lips and sheer them out using lip concealer.

This is me wearing Vivacious. It is warm fuschia with satin finish. Sometimes it looks a little bit reddish.

This is me in Showy. It is a blue undertone pink. It looks very Barbie in a real world. I like it a lot.

I would praise this lippie for its long wearing, smooth result and travel friendly. So far, it is my most used lipsticks. Love them~

Sanxia is a fascinating small town. You can come here by taking a train from Taipei Main Station and get off at Yingge station. Take a stroll around with city buses and enjoy the view around.

This time i am going to show you how Sanxia night market look like. Sanxia does not have real night market, don`t expect it to be as crowded as Shi Lin or Shida night market. This nightmarket is pretty small, but offers many delicious food with great price.

It is more like a collection of street food stalls.

This one is my favorite stall. I could not read the name since it is in Chinese, but it is more like crispy fried chicken stall. Once you buy, they will cut it for you and put seasonings on top.

Another favorite store is this one. Everything is priced at 12 NTD. You got many choices from hot dog, sausages, chicken heart, or even vegetables. They will roast them for you.

Yummy!! My favorites are the corn and hot dogs. They are sooo irresistible!

Desperately in need of a make up base, last month i managed my time to go SHOPPING to Poya. Poya is a famous make up store here in Taiwan, simply to say my make up heaven. My boyfriend even paid to get me a membership card there in my heaven.

“Oh boy, you don`t know what you are getting yourself into “ hahaha

My first pick in POYA is this KATE brightening make up base for cover. Kate is a Japanese brand and one of the line of Kanebo cosmetics.

Speaking of the packaging, KATE brightening make up base has this elegant, professional feeling to it. The box looks expensive and the black tube, eventhough looks rather plain, actually made from a good plastic material. It is easy to squeeze the right amount of product out. No messiness.

Kate brightening make up base has yellow undertone with creamy feeling to it. Not too thick, which makes it blendable and quickly adheres to the skin.

Do you see? It has this subtle glowy finish. I like it. For me, it is more like first step “lamination” to the skin without any shimmer and glitter on my face.

For a make up base, it has quite a good coverage. I drew a line on my hand and covered it up with make up base. It somehow blurred and disappeared.

This one is on my face. I would say my pore is less visible and KATE make up base ease out any dullness, gives me that bright and dewy effect. It somehow eases the redness though not eliminate them all. It soaks up excess oil quite nicely and make my make up stay longer.

I like to wear this with my Make over compact foundation, because it gives that flawless effect and extra long wear. I have ever tried this with BB Cream, but it is just too heavy for daily make up. Maybe because KATE make up base has a pretty good coverage to begin with.

So far, i like it :) I recommend this if you love dewy finish and hate any shimmer or glitter on your face. It might look oily in humid Indonesia, but for somewhere with lower temperature will love this. It gives you glowy gorgeous finish.

Do you have a good day? I had just finished my last exam and i really did a good job haha #praisemyself.

After tons of hard work, finally i got time to write here in my blog. So far, life here is challenging but beautiful. Work hard, play hard, and pray hard would be the kind of proverb that describe it all. Yes, I have many to catch on and to fight on, but along the process i am very grateful for my life in Taiwan.

Last weekend i got the chance to go to Hakka Museum in Sanxia, New Taipei City. My boyfriend had a seminar there and he tagged me along because he knows i love museum.

Hakka Museum is just.. SPACIOUS. hahaha. When i first came, i saw many kids just playing around with traditional toys with their parents. The traditional toys are free to use. Just, don`t forget to put it back, okay?

This is.. some kind of EGRANG, i do not know the Hakka name, sorry hehehe.. But you play it like this… Got on top of it and walk with it sticks on your feet.

My boyfriend tried it too..

But he failed! hohohoho.. He then said,” No no no, do not play this, okay? Too dangerous!”

EXHIBITION HALL AND ANTIQUE COLLECTIONS

The exhibition hall, so chic, nice and clean looking. And here is some of their collections.

I feel like.. seeing the things that i used to watch in Kungfu Movie in a real life. Those are all the REAL THINGS! and it feels so mysterious and antique.

Here they have secret drawers for you to open and see what is inside.

What is inside? They have all kinds of end product for Camphor. I really like this since it gives people something to do inside the museum.

If you are tired looking around, you can sit down on this bench and watch Hakkanese story.

I love their bathroom. Even the bathroom is designed with Hakka style, giving you that vintage feeling when you come inside. The bathroom lady was so nice too. I forgot my water bottle inside and she just delivered it back to me. Xie xieee…

I really enjoyed my time in New Taipei City Hakka Museum. I love how it feels so grande and chic, but they stay in touch with the people around the area. People in the neighborhood are free to come here for playing and enjoying Hakka Culture. I also love how they use Barbie and free toys to engage kids.
